What’s your Climb for Change story?

by Sara on February 8, 2011

I’m pretty darn blissed from my early start to climbing season… hit the bouldering wall last week and then snuck in a way better than expected day out at Vantage on Saturday… but now I’m entirely too fried to sit at the computer any longer today!  So, rather than half-heartedly type up a trip report (since the day deserves a full-hearted one), I’ll share this news with you instead.

Climb For Change and Outdoor Research want to hear from you… and telling your story between February 7th and the 28th may win you an Outdoor Research Alibi Jacket. Their question:

What climbing initiative did you take in 2010 that created positive change?

Was it a personal journey, a climb, trek or hike for a friend or community or for the larger humanitarian or environmental challenges we face?

Share your story at the Climb For Change Campfire from February 7th to February 28th for a chance to win.

Awards will be announced Feb 18th, Feb 25th, and March 4th.

Also, post your photo with a story for a chance to win one of three Wind Warrior Hats for the photo that best represents a climb for change story.

Visit the Campfire at www.climbforchange.com for complete contest details.

This is great info. We were not aware of Climb for Change. For every pair of climbing shoes we sell we make a donation to help a child get safe clean drinking water in Africa. Nice to see other climbers and companies doing something as well.
