We are girls who climb rocks. Sometimes, we climb other things, like mountains.
I’m Sara Lingafelter, and I started climbing in 2005, during my second year of law school. It’s been all downhill (or uphill, depending on how you look at it) since then. My life has shifted and bent around to accommodate my climbing habit, and climbing has taken me to such exotic places as Yakima, WA and a random boulder in the middle of a DNR property in Poulsbo, WA; as well as the more mundane by climbing standards… Joshua Tree National Park, Red Rock Canyon in Nevada, and to Pumori Base Camp and the summit of Kala Patthar in Nepal, among others.
I love that by living a life that makes me happy — playing outside, spending time with people who inspire me, and developing my own strength through climbing and cross training — I’ve been able to build relationships around the globe with other people who are inspired to live lives full of love, passion, and sport. RockClimberGirl.com is one way that I share that love.
Enjoy, and go play outside!
